Sony Ericsson

Sony Ericsson (not spelt Ericcson or Erricson or Ericson!) came about in 2001 as a joint venture when the two comprising companies stopped individual production of handsets and joined forces to combat the almighty Nokia.

Today they have yet to come up with an exclusive must-have model to match the iPhone or the LG Prada, but they produce good, fun, versatile phones, many of them with an emphasis on multimedia abilities. They have a number of phones which are exclusive to certain cell networks (the z310i to AT&T in the US, or the black w890i, exclusive to Vodafone in the UK).
